The Onion Volcano
I love going to the local hibachi Japanese steak house. The food is awesome. The way it’s served up is total fun whether it’s a night with friends or Jamie and our girls.
Julia and Marissa get a laugh when the Chef flings the zucchini at me and I have to catch it with my mouth! Marissa is always up for trying to catch it. For Julia, it depends on her mood.
That leads me to “The Onion Volcano and reminder: One key to success is to keep doing what works for as long as it works.
If you go to any hibachi place I’ll be they always do the onion volcano as part of the routine. Why, because it works!
The onion volcano is when the chef takes the rings of the onion and stacks them on top of one another in the shape of a volcano. Then, he pours some cooking oil inside the rings and lights it on fire. This gives you the onion volcano!
The onion volcano works every time! It always gets and “ahh” from the crowd!
There are certain principles that work every time. You know what they are. There are things that we can do everyday to help our days go smoother. There are disciplines and habits we can form that will always work for us.
I know it is little more glamorous to subscribe to the next BIG wiz bang technique. An sometimes those “new” things will work great.
Just reminder most of your success will be a result of doing what works everytime.
