Of course, as you could imagine, I get a whole lot of questions about the “MA-Biz Secret Society.” I think at first, it’s the name that gets people going, maybe???

Stephen: So excuse me if I sound skeptical, but this is the voice of experience speaking.
Me: Most school owners we serve are very experienced and have been around the block a few times. It’s a pleasure to answer your questions!
Stephen: Your sales letter, both the email and on the site sound intriguing, but I have to ask if the Marketing Plan, Staff Training,
Powerful Scripts, Growth Strategies, Operations info, etc. are all part of the membership package, or is the membership just a doorway to all these programs as backend, high cost products that are actually costs on top of the membership?
Me: Everything is there! Once you get in there’s nothing to buy! Plus you also get 30 minutes per month of one on one coaching in the program. There is NO backend!
Stephen: And speaking of the memberships. While the trial is low cost up front, we both know that if this is really what you claim the 30 days is hardly enough time to properly and fully evaluate it – especially for those of us running full-time professional academies as we are indeed usually wearing all those hats you mentioned.
Additionally, some such groups I have checked out in the past have had trick escape clauses, time delays for “processing” withdrawals, and other down-and-dirty tricks to get at least another month or two membership fees out of unwary, while dragging out the process and making it time consuming under the guise of administrative requirements – obviously designed to wear down the opposition to the program, gather further info to try and dissuade the dissatisfied – while trying to make them feel stupid for not wanting the service or product, and while making it not worth the time or expense to pursue the fact that you were just royally ripped off.
Pretty clever to some, but totally dishonorable, especially for someone who claims to be a martial artists – and no I am not some wet-behind-the-ears idealist, just someone who believes on walking the talk, and after nearly 40 years on this walk I think I have the knowledge and experience to voice an opinion on the subject.
Me: I think your opinion is totally valued and I have personally fallen victim to the same type of things you are mentioning.

Many of our members feel that 30 days is enough time, so that is the way this works, I can’t bend on that. However on day 25 of the trial you will get an email from us reminding you that you have 5 days left on your trial….
Stephen: Wait! You’re saying that you’re gonna tell us and remind us about getting out if we are not happy!
Me: Yes.
Stephen: wow!
Me: Hold on though that’s not it! Your trial also comes with some get to know you calls. So you’ll be talking to us a few times. You also have our personal phone numbers if you need anything else. As far as the “bureaucracy and tricks” when you want to cancel: there are none! Once you get going, if you want out at anytime for any reason all that we ask is that you give us 30 days email or phone notice. That’s it! We’ll be sad to see you go if you choose and would certainly welcome you back.
