Is Sarah Palin Using “Personality Marketing” to Persuade Voters?

Personally marketing is often used by smart business owners who realize that in many cases the unique personality they bring to the table is their greatest asset. Of course we all know people whose personality is their greatest liability!

Palin certainly came across as just another PTA mom who will stand up for what she believes in.

Many persuasion experts, including myself, know that people buy people first. We also know that when common ground and solid rapport are present the persuasion process is infinitely easier!

Everyone will watch in awe as a larger than life figure stands up and gives a speech. But, the problem with being larger than life or too far above your persuasion targets is that you run the risk of them not identifying with you.

I believe that Sarah Palin’s personality shined through to the point of being very persuasive. In the long run I thing her personality marketing will pay off!
